There are two modalities to study for the Bachelor in Law and Diploma in International Legal Studies:

A) Bachelor in Law and Diploma in International Legal Studies (E-1 I)

The official degree in Law takes four years to complete and in keeping with the quality and prestige that distinguish our University, is designed to offer, a solid foundation that opens the door to any of the traditional options for a career in Law (law firms, businesses, the Foreign Service, international organisations) as well as offering the possibility of enrolment in postgraduate studies that will qualify the student to practice law. The degree programme consists of six-month 3, 4, 5 or 6 credit courses, facilitating exchanges with foreign Universities and also provides a language training component, which includes courses taught in English in third and fourth year.

The training of the Bachelor in Law is completed with the Diploma in International Legal Studies, which prepares the student with a specific education in the legal-international area, to work in international organisations of all types, international defence of Human Rights, international arbitration, or a career in diplomacy. It is also designed for those who need a specialised legal education that is transnational in focus to work in large international law firms or multinationals or in boutique law firms specialised in "internationalised" areas such as international trade, environmental law or immigration law.

E-1 students can apply for places on the E-1 American Program that are announced every year, once they complete the first semester of the 3rd academic year of the Bachelor in Law. In that case, in the 4th academic year, they will study on the LL.M at a US partner university, finishing their studies awarded with the double degree. Student selection will be carried out taking their language proficiency and academic record into consideration.
